JOBS TITLE : Sand Truck Supervisor

JOB LOCATIONS : Arusha

JOBS SALARY : 250,000.00-300,000.00 Gross salary

START DATE : ASAP

 

JOBS DESCRIPTIONS

On behalf of our client in Arusha, we are seeking to recruit a competent Sand truck Supervisor The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate all activities of Sand truck and other support personnel. She will provide planning for, direction to, and will control available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of Sand on assigned shifts. In addition, she will provide performance feed-back, availability of resources and provide disciplinary recommendations when necessary.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•        Serve as point of contact for customers, building relationship and addressing complaints
•        Manage documents that details transport activities, financial accounts and employees’ schedule
•        Maintaining all vehicles in top working order
•        Monitor the transportation costs to ensure that funds are properly utilized and implement site objectives
•        Ensure company compliance with safety standards i.e., availability of first aid kits
•        Improve driver productivity for workgroup through on-job supervision
•        Assign job tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules
•        Oversee sales, purchases and department supplies
•        Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve performance.
•        Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Transport and Logistics or other related field; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) and Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

•        1-2 years’ experience as Site Supervisor any supply chain company
•        Highly organized and analytical thinker
•        Good oral and written communication skills
•        Juggle multiple tasks and meeting required time
•        Good physical and health condition as average working hours requires sitting and walking
